Kisspeptin

It acts as a neurotransmitter in the brain.
Source: It is a peptide that is released by the arcuate nucleus in the hypothalamus.

Regulation of GnRH

It has a positive effect on GnRH secretion and causes the release of GnRH. It is a regulator of GnRH and more important for the onset of puberty.

Mechanism of GnRH release

Fat cells are important for puberty. They release Leptin (hormone: it has a positive effect on the release of Kisspeptin). Then leptin causes the release of kisspeptin that causes the release of GnRH.
