Identification of filamentous fungi

The following parameters should be taken care of while identification:
- Hyphae: septate or non-septate
- Mycelium: hyaline, colored/non-colored
- Types asexual spores: sporangiospores, conidia, arthrospores, blastospores
- Type of Sexual spores: oospores, zygospores, or ascospores. Types of fruit body containing asci and ascospores.
- Characteristics of asexual spore heads: sporangia – size, shape, color, location 6. Microscopic appearance of spores: size, color, surface (smooth/rough), number of cells
- Spore heads bearing conidia: single, chained, budding conidia.
- The appearance of Sporangiophores or conidiophores: simple or branched if branched the types of branching.
