Tonsillectomy

    The tonsils are located in a fossa called the fossa tonsillaris. Semilunar fold bound the fossa dorsally, ventrally by the root of the tongue, and rostrally by the palatoglossal arch.
     Make an incision on the mucosa lining the fossa around the opening of the fossa and direct it free. When the fossa and its lining is free except blood vessels, crush the vessels with the help of an artery forceps.
